Actor Katherine Heigl is opening herself about her experience of being raised in a "white bubble" and how this realisation has impacted how she raises her adoptive multiracial children. She is the "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" star shared in an interview recently that she was told that when it came to skin color -- it wasn't a factor for her the way she looked however, after speaking with her older sister who was taken in from South Korea, she realized that society was different when it came to the two of the two. In my interview, I inquired of Meg about how she was treated when in public, regardless of whether we were with our parents, the treatment was very completely different. She responded "Oh yes! All the time!" Heigl admitted to her parents that it made her realize just how naive she had been. She became enraged, and she decided to channel her anger into support her two adopted daughters. Heigl shares a son of 4 years and Josh Kelley, her husband for the past 13 years. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old who is Black from South Korea in 2012.
